This article was checked on August 31, 2026 against Axis Bank's official MYZONE revision notice and current MYZONE product page.
Some changes started on August 28, 2026. The new spending requirement for the District movie offer starts on November 1, 2026.
What changed from August 28, 2026?
Axis Bank increased the Dynamic Currency Conversion, or DCC, markup from 1.5% to 3.5%. DCC may be offered when an overseas merchant or payment terminal converts a foreign purchase into Indian rupees.
Cardholders should compare the DCC price with paying in the local currency. The exchange rate and other card charges can affect the final cost.
Revised late payment fee
| Outstanding amount | Late payment fee |
|---|---|
| Below ₹500 | Nil |
| ₹501 to ₹5,000 | ₹500 |
| ₹5,001 to ₹10,000 | ₹750 |
| ₹10,001 to ₹50,000 | ₹1,200 |
| Above ₹50,000 | ₹1,300 |
Axis Bank says the fee remains unchanged for outstanding balances below ₹50,000. The revised fee for balances above ₹50,000 is ₹1,300. Paying the total amount due on time remains the safest way to avoid late fees and interest.
How payments will be adjusted
When a cardholder makes a payment, Axis Bank will adjust it in this order: fees and charges including taxes, EMIs, interest charges, purchase transactions, and then cash advances. This order matters when the payment is less than the total amount due.
Reward exclusions
Gift-card purchases will continue to earn no rewards and will not count toward milestone benefits. Axis Bank will classify them under a separate Gift Card category instead of the Wallet category.
Bridge fees, road fees and toll payments will also not earn rewards.
District movie offer changes from November 1, 2026
To qualify for the Buy One Get One free District movie offer, cardholders will need eligible spending of ₹25,000 during the previous three calendar months.
New cards receive a temporary waiver for the month of issuance and the following three calendar months. A card upgrade does not count as a new card, while an additional card alongside an existing relationship is treated as new issuance.
Only settled transactions from the previous three calendar months count. Interest, fees, charges, reversals, refunds and other bank dues do not qualify. For EMI purchases, only the EMI instalment billed during the relevant statement cycle counts, not the complete purchase value.
What cardholders should do
Check foreign transactions carefully and compare DCC with paying in the local currency.
Pay the total amount due by the due date whenever possible.
Do not expect rewards from gift cards, bridge fees, road fees or tolls.
Track settled spending if you use the District movie offer after November 1, 2026.
